K. Email Engagement Information

Our emails and newsletters may contain small tracking technologies that tell us whether a message was opened and which links were clicked. We use this to understand which content is useful, to manage sending, and to stop sending to addresses that are no longer engaged.

2. BUSINESS CONTACT DATA AND OUTREACH

PROJECCT maintains a database of businesses in the property preservation, maintenance, construction, and facilities industries. This database consists mainly of business contact information, such as business names, trade categories, service areas, business phone numbers, and business email addresses, obtained from publicly available sources, commercially available business databases, prior business dealings, and people who have contacted us.

We use this information to contact businesses about PROJECCT programs, workshops, opportunities, newsletters, and services, and to build and administer our provider networks.

If you receive an email from us and do not want further marketing messages, use the unsubscribe link in the email or contact us. We will honor opt-out requests as required by law. You may also ask us to correct or delete your business’s information as described in Section 12.

4. HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION

We may disclose personal information as reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes.

Service Providers

We share information with companies that perform services for us, including website and portal hosting, database and cloud storage, payment processing, tax calculation, accounting, email delivery and newsletter platforms, video conferencing and scheduling, customer relationship management, analytics, authentication, cybersecurity, insurance or credential verification, professional services, and other technology or operational support.

These providers receive information as needed to perform services on our behalf.

Clients and Providers

LINK and OPS are designed in part to facilitate commercial relationships. We may share relevant business and contact information between participating clients, property owners, property managers, service providers, contractors, vendors, and other parties where reasonably necessary to evaluate or perform an opportunity or service.

We do not authorize recipients to use this information for unrelated marketing.

Other Program Participants

In workshops, cohorts, and live sessions, your name or display name, image, and anything you say or type may be visible to other participants.

Business Transactions

If PROJECCT is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, investment, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be disclosed as part of the transaction or related diligence.

Legal and Safety Purposes

We may disclose information where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, enforce contractual rights, investigate fraud, protect the rights or safety of PROJECCT or others, or cooperate with governmental or regulatory authorities.

With Your Direction or Consent

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or otherwise consent.

5. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND AUTOMATED TOOLS

PROJECCT may use software tools from service providers that include artificial-intelligence features to help organize and clean data, summarize documents and communications, draft messages, and support internal operations. Information processed by these tools is handled by the providers on our behalf under their business terms. Where those options are available to us, we select settings under which information we submit is not used to train the provider’s general-purpose models.

PROJECCT does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about individuals based solely on automated processing.

6. PAYMENT PROCESSING

PROJECCT uses Stripe and may use other payment processors for payments, subscriptions, billing, tax calculation, and related functions.

Payment processors may collect information directly from you and process it under their own privacy policies and terms.

PROJECCT may receive information such as customer identity, payment status, payment method type, partial card information (such as the last four digits), transaction amount, billing information, and payment-related identifiers.

7. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, analytics technologies, and similar tools to operate the website, remember preferences, authenticate users, understand site traffic, measure performance, improve services, prevent fraud, and support marketing where applicable.

Where required by law, we will request consent or provide ways to manage non-essential cookies.

Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect some website features.

8. ANALYTICS, ADVERTISING, AND OPT-OUT SIGNALS

We may use analytics services to understand how visitors interact with our websites.

PROJECCT does not sell personal information for money. If we use advertising or tracking technologies in a way that is treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable privacy law, we will provide the legally required disclosures and opt-out methods, and we will honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, where required by law.

9. DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls on our systems and portals.

No website, database, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and should notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized account activity.

10. DATA RETENTION

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business and transaction records, administer accounts, manage provider networks, meet contractual obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, satisfy tax, accounting, insurance, regulatory, or legal requirements, and protect legitimate business interests.

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and applicable requirements. For example, tax and transaction records are generally kept for the period required by tax law, and session recordings are generally kept only as long as they are useful for the program.

Information that is no longer reasonably needed may be deleted, anonymized, or otherwise disposed of in accordance with our practices and applicable law.

11. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails and newsletters at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message.

Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may continue sending transactional or administrative communications relating to accounts, purchases, registrations, security, work orders, subscriptions, contracts, or other ongoing business relationships.

Text Messages and Calls

Where PROJECCT offers text-message or other telephone-based communications, additional consent disclosures will be presented when you sign up. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. You can opt out of text messages by following the instructions in the message, such as replying STOP.

12. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live and whether applicable legal thresholds are met, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal information and access it;

  • request correction;

  • request deletion;

  • obtain a portable copy of certain information;

  • opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing of personal information;

  • limit certain uses of sensitive personal information;

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and

  • appeal our decision on a privacy request.

These rights are subject to exceptions and limitations provided by law.

Regardless of where you live, you may ask us to stop marketing to you or to remove your business contact information from our outreach lists, and we will do so. We may keep a minimal record of your request so that we can continue to honor it.

To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 19. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights.

California and Other U.S. States

Residents of California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights where those laws apply to PROJECCT. Applicable rights will be honored in accordance with governing law. If a state provides a right to appeal our response to a privacy request, instructions for the appeal will be included with our response where required.

If PROJECCT engages in activities that require a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link or recognition of opt-out preference signals, we will provide the required mechanism.

13. SENSITIVE INFORMATION

Certain provider onboarding or business operations may involve information considered sensitive under applicable law. For example, a Form W-9 from a sole proprietor may include a Social Security number used as a taxpayer identification number.

We use such information only for legitimate operational, tax, legal, security, verification, or compliance purposes, limit access to it, and will seek consent where required.

Please do not submit highly sensitive personal information unless it is specifically requested through an authorized PROJECCT process.

14. CHILDREN

The Services are intended for adults and businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

15. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

Our websites may link to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and PROJECCT is not responsible for the practices of third parties outside our control.

16. BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS INFORMATION

Many PROJECCT services involve communications with individuals acting in a professional or business capacity. We use professional contact and business information to administer commercial relationships, communicate about opportunities and programs, provide requested services, and maintain business records.

17. INTERNATIONAL USERS

PROJECCT operates in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

18. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
